Telescope Training

Service Description

A Sidewalk Astronomer will come to your home and teach you how to use the telescope you already own! Add a 1-hour Astronomy Night for $125.00 to receive a tour of the night sky, learning constellations, planets, star clusters and more while we train you. Basic Training Includes: 1. Training you on the telescope you own 2. Suggesting a different telescope if yours doesn't fit your use (particularly for beginners) 3. Suggesting maintenance to be performed 4. Suggesting accessories to improve your experience You can purchase accessories at the event. If we have them on hand, we will provide you with them immediately. Otherwise, please allow about two weeks for your accessories to be delivered. Any accessories that do not fit or work properly with your telescope will be fully refunded.

Cancellation Policy

Booking deposits are nonrefundable. If you cancel or reschedule your event less than 7 days before your event, you will be charged a $25.00 fee. If our educators reach out to change the date due to special circumstances (i.e. weather) you will not be charged any extra fee. In the event of inclement weather, our educators will contact you to discuss and reschedule the event free of charge. No shows are not refundable in any amount, and your event will be deprioritized from our schedule until we can fit you in.
